Find out what rosacea is and how it appears

What is rosacea?

Rosacea is a facial inflammatory disorder that appears progressively and stains red or pink the area of the skin where it occurs. From Atopyk we reveal all the details of this condition suffered by thousands of people today.

Rosacea causes skin rash, couperose and a burning sensation, as well as pustules and small pimples.

This skin condition usually appears in the area of the nose, cheekbones and some upper parts of the chin.

As for the people who suffer from it, there is no age range or user prototype that is more prone to rosacea than another. However, what all the studies that have been carried out on this condition have revealed is that it is a chronic pathology and that it appears more frequently in middle-aged people. Moreover, it is not a disorder that affects all users equally.

What are the symptoms of rosacea?

The symptoms that rosacea presents are very varied, so each person can present a predetermined symptomatology or a combination of several symptoms. Here are the symptoms of rosacea:

  • Redness
  • Burning
  • Burning
  • Swelling
  • Pimples
  • Pimples with pus
  • Reddish lines
  • Hardening of the skin

The most common sign of rosacea is redness of the affected area. Burning of the area where rosacea appears, as well as mild inflammation, are very common symptoms that are linked to the redness.

The appearance of pimples on the skin, including pimples with pus, is another common symptom of rosacea.

Another less common, but no less important symptom is the appearance of thin reddish lines under the skin. This is due to enlarged blood vessels under the skin.

Finally, one of the less common symptoms of rosacea in rosacea sufferers, but equally important, is the hardening of the skin in the areas where rosacea appears.

What causes rosacea?

Despite years of research by dermatology professionals, the causes of rosacea are not 100% known. That is, there is no known exact reason why rosacea occurs. However, factors that promote the development of rosacea are known:

  • Hormonal changes
  • Diet
  • Sudden temperature changes
